For this projects I used watercolors for the background and sharpies for the bunch of lavender. Through this piece I have learned a lot on how to use watercolors. I learned how to control my brush and how to control the value of the paint. I actually began with a different piece, but I didn't think it had enough unity throughout the paper. So, I started over. I realized that I am a bit of a perfectionist. This realization can help me grow as an artist.
Sometimes it's good to go with your vision - this piece turned out beautifully - The diagonal gradient, accented by the dots is very pleasing to the eye and the bouquet of flowers just adds to the lovely feel of this piece.
